Romanian eUniversity Initiative

The ReU initiative intend to promote a critical and responsible use of ICT aimed at supporting the innovative processes of the Romanian higher education system required in view of its full adaptation to the changes occurring in Romanian economic and social context.

ReU Objectives to design and implement a platform that will foster the inter-

institutional collaboration at national and international level; to establish the capacity of quality content production and quality

services provision in a national and international partnership context; to build a training system for the higher education teachers and

trainers on the use of ICT for learning; to establish a quality system covering higher education institutions,

competencies, learning resources and services based on the transfer of European experiences and knowledge;

to accompany Romanian higher education institutions in their process of institutional, organizational, pedagogical and economic innovation.

ReU Outputs

institutional innovation plans embedding strategy for ICT integration;

management and advisory systems in place; collaborative framework for quality provision of contents and

services; RE2U technical infrastructure and services in place; national support center and 2 regional centers; innovative staff training system in the use of ICT in

education&training.
