DEATH : Mrs . Eugene H . Bracken (the for-mer Salome Smith, '25ed) died February 9 in St .Anthony Hospital, Oklahoma City . Fifty-threeyears old, Mrs . Bracken had been a social workerin Oklahoma City since October, 1941 . For thepast 11 years she was a case supervisor on thestaff of the Oklahoma County Department of Pub-lic Welfare . She was chairman of the project forfriendly visiting in nursing homes, initiated bythe Oklahoma Council of Churches in 1955 .

He came to Norman in 1936, and manyof his teams won state and regional champion-ships . At the University, Davis starred for CoachBennie Owen's football teams of 1917-20 .

1947Carter Mullaly, Jr ., '47, is appearing in his

first screen role in The Devil's Hairpin, a story ofautomobile racing. Mullaly plays a southern-talk-ing bartender in the Paramount production, whichstars Cornel Wilde . Mullaly's next role will be inThe Buccaneer, a Paramount picture casting YulBrynner, Charles Boyer and Charlton Heston .
