markers. Waterproof to a depth of 12,800 feet (3,900

Ceramic Bezel andLuminescent DisplayLegendary divers’ watch

The 60-minute graduated, unidirectional rotatable bezel of

the Rolex Deepsea enables divers to precisely and safely

monitor their dive and decompression times. It is equipped

with a patented black Cerachrom bezel insert

manufactured by Rolex in a virtually scratchproof ceramic

whose colour is unaffected by ultraviolet rays. The

graduation is coated via PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition)

with a thin layer of platinum. The sleek black dial features

large Chromalight hour markers and hands, filled with

luminescent material that emits a long-lasting blue glow

for excellent legibility in dark conditions.

OystersteelHighly resistant tocorrosion

Rolex uses Oystersteel for its steel watch cases. Specially

developed by the brand, Oystersteel belongs to the 904L

steel family, alloys most commonly used in high-

technology and in the aerospace and chemical industries,

where maximum resistance to corrosion is essential.

Oystersteel is extremely resistant, offers an exceptional

finish once polished and maintains its beauty even in the

harshest environments.

The Oyster braceletAlchemy of form andfunction

The Oyster bracelet is a perfect alchemy of form and

function, aesthetics and technology, designed to be both

robust and comfortable. It is equipped with an Oysterlock

clasp, which prevents accidental opening, and an

ingenious Glidelock, allowing fine adjustments of the

bracelet without using any tools - and allowing it to be

worn and comfortably over a diving suit.

Waterproof SystemRobustness andreliability

A paragon of robustness and reliability, the Oyster case of

the Deepsea is guaranteed waterproof to a depth of 3,900

metres (12,800 feet). Its middle case is crafted from a solid

block of particularly corrosion-resistant Oystersteel. The

case back, edged with fine fluting, is hermetically screwed

down with a special tool that allows only Rolex

watchmakers to access the movement. This model’s 44

mm Oyster case, reinforced with the patented Ringlock

System, was designed to provide the highest degree of

resistance and reliability in a size that remains wearable

and practical.

3235 MovementSuperlative performance

The calibre 3235 is a new-generation movement entirely

developed and manufactured by Rolex. This self-winding

mechanical movement is at the forefront of the art of

watchmaking. A consummate demonstration of Rolex

technology, with 14 patents, it offers fundamental gains in

terms of precision, power reserve, resistance to shocks

and magnetic fields, convenience and reliability. It

incorporates the new Chronergy escapement patented by

Rolex, which combines high energy efficiency with great

dependability. Made of nickel-phosphorus, it is also

insensitive to magnetic interference.
