Qualifications for the position
• Experienced trauma nurse in ICU, ED
• Understands the complexities of clinical management of the trauma patient
Qualifications for the position
• Able to identify problems and make sophisticated judgments regarding appropriateness of care
• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to work independently and a high degree of motivation
• Computer skills
• Coding of injuries using the AIS, ISS

MECHANISM:
Motor vehicle crash with ejectionPedal cyclist, motorcyclist or pedestrian hit by vehicle >30 km/hFall >5 metresFatality in same vehicleInterhospital trauma transfer meeting activation criteria
ANATOMICAL:
Injury to two or more body regionsInjury to two or more long bonesSpinal cord injuryAmputation of a limbPenetrating injury to head, neck, torso, or proximal limbBurns >15% BSA in adults or >10% in children or airway burnsAirway obstruction
PHYSIOLOGICAL:
