My Objective
What is my goal and career objective for this position?
My goal is to acquire a position that allows me to utilize my previous experience
simultaneously with my interpersonal skills. I feel this position would benefit my long-term
objectives of creating versatility in my job skills, as well as allowing me to gain experience
working in a fast-paced environment while incorporating my crowd interaction abilities,
hospitality training, and highlight my social personality.
Work Experience
8/2011-12/2014 Miami, FL
As Assistant Cruise Director, my role was to assist the Cruise Director on a daily basis to create
a fun and entertaining environment for our guests. I served as a figurehead to our guests,
driving both guest satisfaction and revenue through appearances, public address
announcements and activity creation. I also served as the supervisor to the activity team and
reported directly to the Cruise Director.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Cruise Director included (but were not limited to):
Leading the Activity Team – I was the direct supervisor for the onboard Activity Team.
This team included Entertainment Staff, Karaoke Host, and Comedy Club Manager.
Training – I was responsible for the stage, performance and activity training of the
Activity Team, as well as ensuring that Entertainment Staff were preparing for their tier
appraisals by following goals set out in each E-Staff tier job description.
Scheduling/Meeting – This included creating the weekly schedule for the Entertainment
Staff and conducting daily meetings with the activity team that also cover scheduling
information.
Create, Review, Reinvent Activities – As leader of the Activity Team I was responsible
for creating new, fun, engaging experiences for our guests. With the help of the team,
bringing new exciting events to the table. In addition to monitoring, I also analyzed the
effectiveness of events to seek out opportunities for improvement in our current
product.
Additional duties: Bingo Manager/Host, Emcee for popular activities and special
events, DJ, assist with Charter Group planning, review safety requirements for
department, organized cabin accommodations, and much more.

2005-2011 Davie, FL
As a Guest Service Manager (Assistant Manager) for Cinemark Theaters, I was responsible for
meeting the guests’ needs and offering more than just popcorn and a movie. I was able to
keep the theater an enjoyable, safe place for our guests by maintaining the best service to our
repeat customers who have made our location their source of entertainment.
Additional responsibilities included assisting with large promotion events, operations, cash
handling, training, and Human Resources.
2009-2010 Davie, FL
As Community Program Director for Nova Southeastern University’s Radio X, my
responsibilities included keeping our listeners informed of various topics of interest. I
conducted interviews and featured them on a weekly segment called, “The Information
Exchange,” which hilighted a wide range of people, from local musicians and professors to
famous actors and singers. From community events to hot political topics, we covered it all.
Additional responsibilities included disc jockey for several weekly shows, which featured music
of different genres (Alternative, Hard Rock, Urban, and Techno), as well as DJ host for
banquets and parties.
2007-2009 Miami, FL
As a Quality Assurance Coordinator, I was responsible for observing staff performance within
a major contact center. Through methods of phone/screen monitoring and proofreading of all
written letters, I was able to evaluate performance and assure that the quality of the contact
center agents were maintained at a company standard.
During my time as a customer care representative, I was responsible for assisting callers with
their needs, which varied from missing luggage to account discrepancies and complaints. My
job was to diffuse the situation and utilize my best problem-solving skills, while maintaining a
positive and friendly attitude.
Additional responsibilities included (but were not limited to) coaching, assisting with general
Q&A of company policies and departmental procedures, updating training resources,
maintaining a department intranet site (which was host to many resources utilized by a large
number of representatives), etc.
