Living on the dark side of the moon, Roger is a bit behind on current events.

• In 2005, Israel unilaterally withdrew from the Gaza Strip. All Israeli military forcs withdrew, and forcibly evicted 9000 of their fellow Israelis.

• In July 2007, Hamas expelled the rival party Fatah from Gaza. At least 118 people were killed and more than 550 wounded –Palestinians killing and wounding other Palestinians. What did Roger Waters say? Nothing.

“ . . . On a personal note, I am pro-human rights for all peoples all over the world. I am pro-peace for all Israelis and Palestinians. I am not singling out Israel. I deplore all abuses and violence, whether in Syria, China, Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, England, the USA, Egypt, Libya, wherever.”

Really, Roger?

During August 2014:

• The 3-year old civil war in Syria was still in full swing, yet Roger Waters did not write a single post on that war.

• Over 200,000 people – the vast majority civilians – have been murdered.

• There have been thousands of rapes and incidents of torture.

• Over 4 million people are displaced: refugees.

• Roger Waters hasn’t said a word about it. Not a word.

Saudi ArabiaReally, Roger?

• Saudi Arabia has been condemned by Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch (neither big friends of Israel).– There are no jury trials in Saudi Arabia, and the accused are not provided

with legal counsel, not permitted to cross-examine witnesses and not permitted to mount a legal defense. Even though he is “pro-human rights,” Waters hasn’t said anything about this.

– Capital punishments is a regular feature of Saudi “justice,” particularly for homosexuals. In August 2014, Saudi Arabia executed at least 19 people . Waters is so “pro-human rights,” he’s been silent.

– A UN report on domestic abuse in 2008 noted the absence of laws criminalizing violence against women. The World Economic Forum 2010 Global Gender Gap Report ranked Saudi Arabia 129th out of 134 countries for gender parity. Hmm. Apparently, Roger doesn’t think women deserve human rights.

Did you notice?

• Did you notice that in that last graphic Israel doesn’t appear at all?

• That’s because Israel doesn’t use capital punishment, and has never executed a captured terrorist.

• You also probably didn’t notice Roger Waters condemning any of the countries in the top ten or top twenty. Because he hasn’t!

been killed in Chechnya – but Roger didn’t rebuke

Russia for occupying Chechnya or for the bloodshed.

Coming a mere three months after his very public

statements on Israel, surprising that he suddenly lost

his moral voice, isn’t it?

“Yesterday, the House of Commons in the Mother of Parliaments passed a motion by 274 ayes to 12 nays in favor of a motion declaring ‘That this house believes that the Government should recognize the state of Palestine alongside the state of Israel as a contribution to securing a two state solution.’ I am proud to be British today.”

No doubt, Roger supports the UN, too.

And still, a hypocrite

Roger Waters has supported the following charities:• Amnesty International• Bob Woodruff Foundation• Crisis• Hoping Foundation• Human Rights Watch• Live 8• Robin Hood• Save the Music FoundationOnly one of them focuses exclusively on helping Palestinians! Interesting, huh? Apparently, Roger doesn’t really think much of their “struggle.” However, several of these supposed charities have a long track record of Anti-Semitism.
