SiC has fast heat dissipation.SUPER HARDNESSThe hardness of SiC is almost as hard as a diamond. It is twelve times as hard as stainless.When a line has sand and salt stuck on it, it is like a long file. SiC, has extreme hardness.SUPER SMOOTHNESS,LOW FRICTIONThe SiC ring is diamond-polished. It scores very high in an abrasion resistance when testing against hard rings (Fuji experiment). The line damage remarkably decreased and the color does not change or rust, neither. They are designed so you use the tube under the seats and then attached the tube / seat to the blank either using traditional method or cork arbors designed to fit the tubes.By using Carbon Tubes you can easily get that exposed blank feeling and look of the high end rods without having to have ablank that exactly fits the reel seat, making the new reel seats now a universal fit with the carbon tubes.

CG3 blanks were born from the experience gained after many years of fishing in Australian conditions, for Australian fish species, coupled with the know how built on decades of blank design, manufacture and rod building. The CG3 blanks have been built using advanced materials and manufacturing techniques delivering task specific blanks suited for, and built for, local conditions.

Each individual CG3 rod blank has been designed, often going through multiple prototypes, to produce a specific action, depending on the anticipated primary use of the final built product. We haven’t just made the blanks, we’ve built rods out of every blank to test them in the field before they go into full production.

Along the way, each-and-every blank is tested across a pre-determined set of variables to ensure they are uniformly straight, have uniform tip and butt diameters and are equally light. That way, we know that each item in a model range is the same, with specific strength to weight ratios needed for the intended task.

Where does the line meet between Maximum strength and Ultimate lightness? And what materials provide the best strength to weight ratio?

That is the question we aimed to solve when we developed our Triple Layer Carbon blank technology.

Creating a blank with too much resin can result in a strong, unwieldy and heavy rod. Too little resin and it could be too brittle and unable to cope with the stress of large fish.

We found that precise point where the two meet for the ultimate blank.

The blank we created has three layers, the bottom and top layer are angled in opposition to each other. The middle layer is laid vertically. We experimented with the angles in a new carbon cloth technology until we settled on the perfect combination, maximising resilience, flexibility and striking force.

By opposing layers of cloth at angles, we have created a blank that works along its entire length. We have reduced twisting and have enabled the blank to transfer energy and power immediately down the line with little to no loss of force. Less fatigue for you and a shorter fight time for the fish.

To add strength and wet the layers all blanks need resin. We have experimented with different blank purposes and have developed a resin recipe for each individual range.

Our technology enables us to machine roll our blank to squeeze out the right amount of resin depending on the blank’s use. It leaves us with a precise blank with absolutely no internal blemishes that can cause breakage. And the perfect weight, no matter the rod.

Finally, all our blanks are hot press baked. This is a pressurised process that heats all the layers to bind them as one. It hardens the resin and creates a single strong, light blank.

Power, lightness and a quick reacting force are hallmarks of our Triple Layer Carbon blanks.

Fuji Ultra Poly brings a bright colourfast finish to any rod building project and thanks to high tech manufactoring process where dye is computer controlled and digitally measured you can count on consistant colours from spool to spool.

Available in regular, ULTA (requiring no colour preserver to maintain its colour) and Metalics in A and D thread thickness and 100m and 1oz spools.
