There are three types of rocks igneous,metamorphic,and sedimentary.A igneous rock forms when magma-the molten rock inside the earth-cools and hardens.A metamorphic rock forms when heat ,pressure,or chemical reactions change from one type of rock to another type of rock.A sedimentary rock is made from pieces of rock and minerals.
