"I remember first seeing Dime with the Pantera boys around 1990 with Suicidal Tendencies and Exodus. He was Pantera's hook and straight up owned life and on the record, I find it amazing that I'd be one of Dime's good friends years later. Dime and I shared great times at numerous Pantera and Damage-plan shows, one-on-one in photo-shoots, and during unforgettable moments when I was a personal guest at his house. Whether you knew Dime or read

about him in the countless magazines and books covering his amazing life, one thing is always a constant about this legend called Dimebag: He was really thing is always a constant about this legend called Dimebag: He was really

one-of-a-kind...a unique force and personality put into the body of an iconic and gifted guitarist who not only slayed the metal world with his talents, but

brought a goddamn smile to millions of faces and ears all over the globe. Cheers to Dime...a most incredible man and musician...and my good friend

forever."Chad Lee

Renowed Rock Photographer

CHAD LEE Chad Lee grew up in a home where cameras were

a constant presence. He recalls how his mother was always taking pictures of him jumping bikes, skate-boarding, whatever it might be. “ My mom would

always take me to concerts growing up. I was 9 years old when I went to my first concert in 1982,” Chad

goes on to say, “ Little did I know in 10 or 15 years that music photography was gonna end up being my music photography was gonna end up being my

career.” “ Honestly, through my teens and early twenties I

kind of floated around. I thought I wanted to be a chef for a long time, worked in restaurants. Then I started

building houses and became a union carpenter. It was great work and great money. My ex-wife and I owned

tanning salons as well at that time. As I was getting into my late twenties I was living in Chicago and we

would work on houses unti115 degrees below zero. Up would work on houses unti115 degrees below zero. Up there on the roof pounding nails, I started thinking to

myself, ‘There’s got to be a better way!’ I was still going to concerts when Kiss did their reunion tour. I’ve been a Kiss fan since I was four years old and I have two Kiss tattoos. I bought front row seats to a show and took a Kodak Advantix camera with me and got some pretty

amazing shots for an amateur in the front row. A amazing shots for an amateur in the front row. A bunch of friends were like, ‘Hey, these are really good,

man. You should do this for a living!’ so I started to think about it,” Lee explains.
