In each window, you'll find the title of a book from an author who writes like Roald Dahl. Complete the form below and take it to Rochdale Central Library, Number One Riverside, Smith Street, Rochdale, OL16 1XU, to claim your special sticker and an“"Inspired by Roald Dahl" certificate. Why not visit your local library and match up the book titles with the authors? Then try reading as many of the books as you like!

Bookstart Bear ClubThroughout October, Irene Peachey, Early Years Library Worker, will be running a special Rochdale Literature & Ideas Festival Rhyme Challenge during her regular Bookstart Bear Club sessions, as well as highlighting much-loved classic stories from the Maskew Collection. Friday 21 October 2016The Wimpy Kid ShowHost Alastair Watson brings the popular books to life with fun activities including the Wimpy Kid Draw-Along and the Wimp Wars Quiz. The show also includes exclusive clips of author Jeff Kinney talking about the books, his involvement in the films and showing how he draws the characters.

Tales from the Giant Peach Children can be transported to a world of fantasy inside our Giant Peach located on Level 3 of the new Baillie Street entrance at the Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre. All children must be accompanied and supervised by their responsible adult (maximum 3 children per adult).

On paid-for events, one accompanying adult goes free with every child.
