In each window, you'll find the title of a book from an author who writes like Roald Dahl. Complete the form below and take it to Rochdale Central Library, Number One Riverside, Smith Street, Rochdale, OL16 1XU, to claim your special sticker and an“"Inspired by Roald Dahl" certificate. Why not visit your local library and match up the book titles with the authors? Then try reading as many of the books as you like!

Bookstart Bear ClubThroughout October, Irene Peachey, Early Years Library Worker, will be running a special Rochdale Literature & Ideas Festival Rhyme Challenge during her regular Bookstart Bear Club sessions, as well as highlighting much-loved classic stories from the Maskew Collection. Friday 21 October 2016The Wimpy Kid ShowHost Alastair Watson brings the popular books to life with fun activities including the Wimpy Kid Draw-Along and the Wimp Wars Quiz. The show also includes exclusive clips of author Jeff Kinney talking about the books, his involvement in the films and showing how he draws the characters.

All those who purchase a book on the day will be eligible for it to be stamped with an exclusive Wimpy Kid Show stamp!

Tales from the Giant Peach Children can be transported to a world of fantasy inside our Giant Peach located on Level 3 of the new Baillie Street entrance at the Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre. The inflatable provides an amazing storytelling experience taking youngsters on a fairy tale journey with magical adventures every hour from 11am to 3.30pm.

Imaginary gobstoppers that make you giggle and chocolate bars that turn your hair into a poodle will feature in this fab fun filled day inspired by Roald Dahl's love of fabulous fantasy food.

Event tickets, where required, are available via the festival website or in person at Touchstones Arts & Heritage Centre, The Esplanade, Rochdale, OL16 1AQ

All children must be accompanied and supervised by their responsible adult (maximum 3 children per adult).

On paid-for events, one accompanying adult goes free with every child.
