SAVING WATER WITH THE ROCA ECO DISC CARTRIDGE

The Roca eco disc cartridge is supplied as standardwith the majority of of our single lever mixer taps. Thecartridge gives you the choice between two waterflows. As you raise the lever handle you reach a level ofresistance giving 50% of the flow; by lifting beyond thisbite-point, you achieve full water flow.

The cartridge also has a temperature limiter, set wheninstalling the tap, to eliminate the risk of scalding. It caneasily be altered after installation.

HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR TAPS

BASINSThere are many means in which you can providewater to your basin. In addition to the traditionaloption of two pillar taps (as shown below) you maywish to select something different to suit yourbathroom. For definitions of the different types of tapand explanations of how they operate, see page 44.

One taphole basins havebecome the most popularchoice and to suit this weoffer a wide range ofcontemporary brasswarestyles to suit all tastes. BATHS ONLYIf you are looking for something to suit a bath without a shower or one which has a separate shower control there are several means to choose from to fill the bath…

These offer a stylishmethod of filling the bath.They can be mounteddirectly on the bathsurround or on a ledgedepending on the depth.Some come pre-mountedon a metal plate for astylish look which is easyto fit. Options include:Touch, Amura.

These are built in plateswhich allow you to controlthe water flow to the bath.Separate water outletsmust be chosen for thebath (see page 32 for bathfilling options).

Another clever method forfilling your bath is anoverflow which acts as abath filler at the same time.The water comes out ofpart of the overflow sothere is no need for aseparate spout. This onlydelivers the water soseparate valves or controlin a style of your choicemust be selected to turnthe water on and off andregulate the temperature(see page 38 and 39 forvalve options).

TYPES OF TAP

This is the term used to describe any mixer suitable for a one tap hole basin and can be single lever or twin handled tap body.

Taps which mount directly to the wall rather than on a basin or bath.

Single lever mixer taps which incorporate theopening, closing and mixing of hot and coldwater with one single lever control. Move thelever up to open the tap and down to close. To alter the water temperature, the lever movesfrom left to right and vice versa.

Mixer taps that automatically maintain a constanttemperature irrespective of the variations in thewater pressure and the temperature of the hotand cold water supply. They have a cartridge orthermostatic element, a control for selecting thetemperature (featuring a safety stop that preventsscalding) and a half-turn ceramic control with flowrestrictor to permit the reduction of consumption.

By turning the handle, the spindle travelsin a line to open and close the flow of water.
