College Application Checklist located in Schoology

1. Narrow down your list to 6-8 schools

College Rep Visits will begin in October. Utilize links in Schoology (2021-2022 VA College Updates) for Fall Tours and Open houses happening now (virtual + on campus)

2. Use Naviance Student to create lists using tools like SuperMatch & Scattergrams

3. Visit each school’s website to review specific requirements 4. Complete and submit documents in Student Services Schoology

5. Complete FAFSA beginning Oct 1.

1. Complete the “FERPA Waiver”(Consent to release student records) once & upload to Student Services Schoology

2. If counselor letter of recommendation is required by your college(s), complete and upload Student/Parent Input Form in Student Services Google Classroom.

3. Pay for transcripts in MySchoolBucks (First 3 are free, $5 each)▪Waivers available for students eligible for free/reduced lunch.▪ Scholarship transcript requests are FREE.

4. Complete Transcript Request Google Form for each college/scholarship.

***Please note: Your college application does not need to be completed prior to requesting a transcript at Robinson.

1. First, check with the college’s admission website of each school, to see if a letter of recommendation is REQUIRED from your school counselor.

2. If a Counselor Letter of Recommendation is required, you MUST upload the following to your classroom by the Robinson transcript deadline date:

1. Student/parent input form2. Consent for Release of Student Records form

3. Add your School Counselor’s @fcps.edu email to your Common App

If you would like a Teacher Letter of Recommendation, you must do the following:◼ Provide your teacher with at least 1 month notice◼ Provide your teacher a list of accomplishments in their class. ◼ Input the teachers name and email in application.
