The modern trend is for a less personal service with

call centres located overseas, large businesses closing

local branches and small companies being taken over

by large conglomerates and sadly the UK maintenance

market is heading in the same direction with ever

increasing purchases being made from catalogues, DIY

outlets and, of course, via the Internet. However,

purchasing the right product to coat a floor, waterproof

a roof or choosing a safety non-slip flooring system

usually requires on-site advice to ensure the correct

product is specified.

Robex is unique because we employ a team of trained

Sales Engineers, the vast majority of whom are

partners in the business and have worked with us for

over fifteen years. All of our Sales Engineers have the

expertise to advise on the correct Robex product to

solve your problem or if necessary we can manufacture

a bespoke product.

In addition to this our Sales Engineer can arrange for a

quote to apply any product from the Robex range via

our own in-house contracting team. We are the only

company in the UK who can offer this type of all round

service.

Working alongside our Sales Engineers is our in-house

team of contractors who are all experts at applying any

Robex product, whether that is a roof coating system, a

floor coating or simply Robex Grip Kits to step edges.

Initially we carry out a site survey and discuss your

requirements with you. We will then submit a quotation

and if necessary produce samples of the finished

product - we manufacture, we supply and we apply.

Our team of Sales Engineers operate throughout the

UK and are available to offer help and advice on which

products to use.

Whatever your maintenance problem, large or small,

your local Sales Engineer will visit the site to discuss a

cost effective solution for you and is on-hand should

you have any queries regarding preparation, mixing or

application once you have received your order.

We manufactureAt Robex we manufacture the vast majority of our products, which means we have

full control over quality. UK manufacturing is in decline with many of the products

that are available in the UK are manufactured overseas with price rather than

quality as the governing factor. Whilst it is easy to reduce the quality of a floor

coating without anyone being able to tell the difference, product performance is

always compromised. Robex uses only the best and most up-to-date resin systems

and we never let price determine our specification.

Every maintenance professional needs to know that they are using the best product

available. When you consider, for example, that when coating any floor a large

percentage of the cost involved is spent on preparation and application, which is

the same regardless of the cost of the product - is it really worth compromising on

quality?

Should we not have a product on the shelf to resolve your maintenance problem we are happy to manufacture bespoke products and if necessary

provide wet or dry samples. This could be to resolve any type of unusual maintenance problem from an uncommon bonding requirement to a

safety non-slip finish to be applied to a marble floor; we have literally hundreds of years worth of experience ensuring we can supply the right

product.

PROFLEX

Brush Grade

Tried and tested throughout the world Proflex Brush Grade can be

applied to any building surface without the use of a primer. It can also

be applied in all weather conditions, even in the wet or underwater!

All of the products in the Proflex range are based on modified liquid

polypropylene combined with refined bitumen, selected synthetic

resins and water displacing agents.

The Proflex range has tremendous adhesion and flexibility and can be

used in extremes of climate with maximum performance, giving total

adhesion, even at -18ºC.

Trustcoat Waterproof Plus

A colourless solution containing water repellent molecules that penetrate

deep into the substrate to provide a highly durable barrier against water

penetrations.

Trustcoat Waterproof Plus is easy to apply by brush or spray and will work on

most surfaces including brick, concrete, natural and cast stone, asbestos,

cement, chalk and limestone.

FLOOR COATINGS

Floorguard Hi-Build

The ultimate heavy duty floor coating for high traffic areas. This

completely solvent free resin system is easily applied by brush or roller

and when cured forms a hard wearing protective barrier that is

approximately five times thicker than a normal floor coating.

Floorguard Hi-Build has a very low odour during application so is ideal for

industrial and commercial floors, laboratories, water treatment plants,

food processing areas, breweries, sewage plants, dairies and schools etc.

Floorguard has tremendous abrasion resistance, excellent flexibility, is

impervious to a wide range of chemicals and when cured is completely

odour free.

Toughseal

Liquid Plastic Protection

A single pack polymer coating with tremendous flexibility and chemical

resistance. Can be used on all types of surfaces such as concrete, wood

and steel.

This system is available in coloured or clear. The clear version can be used

as a primer on porous surfaces and is excellent as a protective barrier on

wood and sealing dusty concrete.

Coverage: 6 - 8 square metres per kg depending on porosity.

Robex Grip Kits have prevented accidents on slippery surfaces around the

world for over 20 years. Widely used, not only for pedestrian traffic but also

vehicles, forklift trucks and automated handling systems.

Can be used on steps, ramps, walkways, fire escapes, upper surfaces of

pipes and tanks, pool edges, cab steps, platform edges, level crossings and

gantries.

Uses specially graded calcined bauxite which does not wear smooth and

retains its grip properties for years.

CONCLUSION

There appears to be a rapid diminution in the numbers of viable micro-organisms applied to a Cera Guard© coated panel.

All four species tested were drastically reduced in numbers or eradicated after 3 minutes contact with the panel.

At 6 hours eradication was complete.

Metal System Repair Kits

A range of easy to use products for repairing and preserving metal parts

and components. Whether an emergency repair or long term reclamation,

there is a product to meet the problem.

Repair Sticks are based on our metal resin technology. The base and

aluminium and most other alloys.

Ideal for filling cracks in castings and rebuilding broken metal parts,
