HELLO EVERYONE, THIS IS ROALD DAHLHE IS A FAMOUS WRITER

He was born on 13th September,1916 in Llandalf (Cardiff, Wales). His parents were from Norway.His father died when Roald was four.

From September 1923 until 1925, Roald attended the local Llandaff Cathedral School, an all-boys Preparatory School.

In 1925 Roald left Llandaff Cathedral School and was sent from his home in Wales to his first boarding school St Peters. InBoy, Roald described boarding school as "the first great adventure of my life."

Dahl joined the Royal Air Force. He became a World War II fighter pilot.His experiences in the Second World Ward are part of some books such as The Gremlins orOver to You.

On 2nd July 1953 Roald Dahl, married Patricia Neal. They had five children.Olivia , eldest daughter of Roald Dahl and Patricia Neal,died when she was seven years old.

LITERARY WORKSRoald Dahl wrote stories for children and stories for adults.He also wrote poems.

Revolting Rhymeswas first published in 1982 and was the first of Roald's collection of comic verse for children.With illustrations by Quentin Blake, Roald tooksix well-known fairy stories and introduced a surprising new end.
