Page 2: Road to Ruin

The state needs roads, buildings, vehicles, information technology, surveillance and weaponry systems to function. Capitalism requires these same things for efficient movement of commodities and labor, and for resource extraction and exploitation. While these mechanisms have strengthened control and exploitation like never before, they have also created many weaknesses.

The weaknesses are an opportunity.

Infrastructure Projects as a TargetThroughout the world, multinational corporations

and trade organizations are damming huge rivers for electricity, ripping apart the earth to put in sprawling roads, tearing down forests to build factories, and exploding mountains to extract energy. People are resisting these projects as a way to deal a blow to capitalist globalization.

Page 4: Road to Ruin

Today, capitalist globalization permeates all borders, affects all people, and destroys ecosystems across the

world.

The areas filled in blue are places where WSA, a small infrastructure design company that is involved in I-69, has worked.
