TIME OF PREPARATION GATHERING MUSIC Above All Psalm 66 Praise Band WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS PRELUDE Trumpet In Dialogue Clerambault CALL TO WORSHIP Psalm 147:1-5 Nelson McCray Praise the LORD. How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise him! The LORD builds up Jerusalem; he gathers the exiles of Israel. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name. Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit. Let us praise the LORD!

PRAYER OF CONFESSION Holy God, we open our hearts to you this day, and offer the truth of our lives: The fear that stifles us, The prejudice that blinds us, The ignorance that hobbles us, The doubt that plagues us. Help us, we pray, that we will Find courage in unlikely places, See the world with new and gracious eyes, Move to those places where love is needed, Have faith that you are with us. This we pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

To Quote:
Joy is the rarest and
most infrequent
thing in the world. We
already have enough
fanatical seriousness, enthusiasm,
and humorless zeal in the
world. But joy? This shows us
that the perception of
the living God is rare. When
we have found God our Savior – or when God has found us – we will rejoice
in God.

forgive our debtors, and lead us not
into temptation but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory
forever. Amen
