THE 3 WATERSHEDS •In Spain there are 3 watersheds:
CANTABRIAN WATERSHED•Short rivers•With a lot of water, because in this part of
Spain it rains a lot
•RIVERS: Nervión, Nalón, Navia
ATLANTIC WATERSHED•The rivers are long•They have an irregular flow
▫In winter, as it rains and snow, they have water
▫In summer, as it doesn’t rain, they don’t have much water.
•Rivers: Miño, Duero, Tajo, Guadiana, Guadalquivir
MEDITERRANEAN WATERSHED•The rivers are short•They have irregular flow, that is,
sometimes they have a lot of water and sometimes not. It depends on the season.
•Except EBRO – It is the longest and more abundant of Spain
•RIVERS – Ebro, Jucar and Segura
