As you may be aware, the government has introduced extensive changes in the GST regulations for the real estate sector at the 33rd GST Council meeting held on 24 th February, 2019 and has issued further noti�cations laying down the methodology for the transition of ongoing projects on 29 th March, 2019.

Under the new regulation, the company has been given a right to opt for charging GST either at the rate of 12% (and claim input credit) or charge GST at the rate of 5% (and not claim any input credit) with respect to ongoing projects, such as ours. The Company has to exercise the said option by 10 th May, 2019.

This amendment is a sweeping change in the GST statute and the Company is presently obtaining advice from experts as to which option it ought to select. Under the circumstances, the Company has decided to keep the charge of GST in this Demand Letter on hold until such a time that the Company exercises the option.

Once we exercise the option, a separate debit note will be issued to you for the GST chargeable in regards to this Demand Letter.
