• The river Severn starts in Plynlimon, in the Cambrian Mountains of mid Wales.

It then flows through Shropshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, into the Bristol channel which in turn discharges into the Celtic sea and the Atlantic ocean.

It passes Gloucestershire cathedral they used some of the corridors for Harry Potter.

Do People Live Near The River?

• Plynlimon is popular for a walking route for all keen walkers! Wooden boards have even been laid to make it easier to begin the long walk to the summit.

People use the river for fishing.They use it forrowing boats and they also go swimming and wind surfing in summer.

Fish, ducks, eels and elvers live and swim in and on the river all plants live in the river.

The river severn is the longest river in great Britan

It is about 354 kilomtres.
