The Keukenhof flower parkThe Keukenhof, one of the finest places to see in

the Netherlands, lies between Amsterdam and The

Hague. Over seven million tulips, which have each

been planted individually, come into full bloom from

March to May. In the park, which is spread over 32

hectares, you can stroll up and down a total of 15

kilometres of paths, enjoying the impressive fragrant

array of blooms or calling in at any of the numerous

exhibitions and flower shows.

Castle Marksburg, Braubach on the Rhine

A journey along the famous river Rhine brings together cultu-

ral diversity and an incredible number of alternating impres-

sions. Although this imposing river ranks today among the

worlds most important waterways from an economic point

of view, it has lost nothing of its fascination acquired in the

course of its turbulent history. Goethe himself drew inspira-

tion from the beautiful Rhine, as did many other famous po-
