Discontinue use of finger scanner, Fire register sign in and out and conduct the planned fire sweeps of the store and back of house already trained to managers as fire wardens to ensure the building is empty.

Brief all on site to leave the building and make their way to the sign posted fire assembly point ensuring all on site to spread out to safe social distancing and await further instruction from duty manager. All to wash hands on return to store.

All HHTs and Tills contact points (i.e. screen, keyboard, counter surface, Ped machine and counter cash unit), will be wiped down with anti-bacterial wipes at shift start and wash hands in soap and hot water for minimum 20 seconds before and after breaks. All colleagues receive training on types of equipment used, from the Management for the use of Cage Dolly & Totes completed and filed in personal files.

Colleagues trained not to stand on cage bases, trolleys or dollies and not to leave unsupervised on slopes or the sales floor.

Colleagues are trained to have no stock above the top side of the cage frame, totes not to have stock protruding over edges and no stock to be stored unsafe on trolleys.

Colleagues are encouraged to seek help where stock may exceed personal lifting weight limitations.

Corona Virus (COVID 19) Infection, people may come into physical contact with each other and contaminated Helium cylinders while transporting cylinders or filling balloons.

All colleagues receive training on manual handling before moving or handling helium cylinders.

PPE in place- all users must wear eye protection when inflating balloons.

When stored, canisters must be secured with a chain or strap to avoid toppling over and causing a hazard.

If in use on the sales floor canister to remain secure with a chain or trolley at the till point.

Cylinders are fitted with safety valve to prevent high pressure injection into skin/ body and when not in use valve is closed off to prevent accidental leakage.

All First Aid trained Colleagues certificated to attend to and administer first aid to customers and colleagues using fully compliant first aid kits situated in different locations around the store.

Management complete check of first aid kit contents to ensure in date monthly and then replenish where required.

Management ensure that any recorded accidents are captured and logged on Hubnet for visibility and analysis by the company.

Any colleagues requiring first aid that show any COVID 19 symptoms are not to be approached until protective mask, gloves and glasses are donned / applied.
