FAQs How long can I spread the payments over? The terms available are 12, 24 or 36 months. What happens at the end of the agreement? On your final payment the device becomes yours. Will there be any credit checks? No, everyone is approved and there aren’t any credit checks. What is the excess on the insurance policy? There is no excess on either the insurance or warranty and you will receive the policy details with your device. There is also no limit to the number of claims that you can make as part of the policy. How do I make an insurance or warranty claim? You will be provided with a policy and claims document detailing how to make a warranty or insurance claim. When will my child receive the device? The ordering window will open on the 17th June and orders need to be placed by 9th July. Your first direct debit will be collected on 24th July Devices will be delivered to the school and will be handed out in September. What happens if I miss a payment or can no longer afford the device? You will have to return the device; you will not own the device unl the final payment is made. What happens if I cannot afford to join the scheme? Financial assistance may be available to support the cost of a device. How Technology Supports Students’ Learning
Independent academic research undertaken in
Scotland during 2013 by the University of Hull found
that:
The ownership of a personal mobile device facilitates
many of the pedagogical aspirations set out in
Scotland’s Curriculum for Excellence framework.
The adoption of personal mobile technologies
significantly increases access to technology for
students, which brings many benefits for learning
which include greater motivation, engagement,
parental involvement, and understanding of complex
ideas.
How the Device is Funded
Parents can purchase the device outright or can enter
into a 1, 2 or 3 year finance arrangement with fixed
monthly payments with the following benefits:
Spread payment with no personal credit check
General savings against the equivalent high
street package
Fully warrantied for 3 years
Fully insured for accidental damage and theft
(ADT) for 3 years, with insurance approved
carry case
The device becomes yours at the end at no
extra cost.

enables us to effectively support and maintain
