Right Click Add-on The Right Click add-on from Mascidon provides users and developers with the means to access queries,

other forms and reports from any SAP form. It is simple to use – Right Click on a form with a query,

menu item or Crystal Report attached and select the function. Figure 1.1 shows the Right Click options

available on the BOM form. The 7 selections boxed are not standard SAP functions.

The setup of the BOM form for right click is shown in Figure1.2. Five of the seven functions added are

user queries , one is a Crystal Report, and the last function provides access to a user table – Operations

Maintenance.

In order to use the right click function information regarding the form, the menu identification, or the

query id and category is required. The first step is to turn on the System Information by accessing View

� System Information. To find the ‘Form’ code, access the form and click on any field on the form. The

form code is shown at the bottom of the screen – see Figure 1.3.

To find the ‘Menu UID’ of a form to be added to the right click options, use the ‘Modules’ menu option

and navigate to the form to include. As before, the menu uid will be in the lower left corner of the

screen. This works for normal forms within SAP. The user defined tables have menu ids that are found

either from: a. Tools � User Defined Windows � Highlight specific table – this works for ‘No Object’

type user tables; b. Tools � Default Forms � Highlight specific table – this works for ‘Master’ and

‘Document’ type user tables. Using ‘Modules’ and navigating to an imported Crystal Report will also

show the menu uid for the Crystal Report. In this instance the menu uid is 36 characters in length –

painful to copy down, but no different than a short menu uid for Right Click.

Queries also have menu uids but do not use them as they change as soon as a new query is added to

SAP. The Right Click program comes with a query that shows the available queries – category name,

query name, query id and category code.

Examples of what the Right Click functionality can provide:

• Queries attached can be simple displays or updates to user tables

• Access to any ‘form’ within SAP – both standard SAP forms and user add-on forms

• Access to Crystal Reports or any SAP report

functions to user tables and forms.

Menu UID Menu user identifications are not static within SAP Business One for all objects. User queries have a menu UID assigned at any point in time.

You can view this by accessing the Query Manager and hovering over a specific query description. The menu UID appears in the lower left

corner of the screen – assuming that the ‘System Information’ is turned on. If a new query is added, the menu UID for many queries change

automatically. For this reason, use the query id and category to identify the query to access. These do not change when a new query is added

or an old query is deleted.

Likewise, the user tables that have been set up as type ‘No Object’ have a menu UID associated with them that may change over time. This is

less of a problem because stable SAP environments rarely have new user tables added. If new ‘No Object’ table types are added, you must

review all of the user table menu UID’s associated with right click menus to verify that they are still the same. Use the Right Click function on

the Right Click form itself to access the option ‘Right Click Selections report’. This prints a report of all Right Click options. Then check off all the

menu UIDs that need to be reviewed.

Query ID and Category Referring to Figure 1.4, the query category code is associated with the ‘Category’ of the query. If accessing queries via SAP, the Query Manager

will display all of the categories and provide access to the associated queries. When setting up the Right Click function for a specific query, the

option to Right Click on the Right Click screen is provided. One of the options provided is to show the ‘Queries Provided’. This option provides

a report as shown in Figure 1.5. Use this display to get the internal key and category code required by Right Click for query definitions.
