SCOTT DAvID KuHN moved to the East side of Cleveland in
1986 where he graduated from Solon High School. Following
his childhood dreams, Scott attended the university of Akron’s
culinary program while working in local restaurants and finished
his degree in management from Malone College.
The Driftwood Restaurant Group was born with the purchase of
the Allegheny Grille in the small town of Foxburg, Pennsylvania in
2005. In 2007, Scott reestablished the Welshfield Inn in Burton,
Ohio and opened 87 West, located in Crocker Park in Westlake,
Ohio. In 2010, Scott opened Washington Place Bistro and Inn, in
Cleveland’s Little Italy neighborhood in Little Italy in the space
where the once-famous Baricelli Inn existed. In 2012, Scott and
partner, Chris Hodgson, launched Driftwood Catering. In 2013,
Scott launched Cibréo Italian Kitchen and Rothschild Farms, in
2014, Bin 216, all in PlayhouseSquare. Scott and Washington Place
Bistro have been featured on Food Network’s unique Eats, which
spotlights America’s most exciting and revolutionary restaurants.
In Fall 2014 and Winter 2015, Scott, along with DoubleTree
by Hilton, will open 2 new properties, Sanctuary, located in
Beachwood and Westlake.
Scott is passionately involved in volunteering and helping others.
Scott is a board member of veggie u, a program dedicated to
educating fourth graders on a holistic food approach, from
understanding how food is grown to developing healthy eating
habits. A proud member of the Slow Food Movement, Scott is
passionately committed to supporting local farmers. Scott is also
on an advisory board for university Hospitals and Fieldstone Farm
Therapeutic Riding Center.
Scott was named one of Cleveland Magazine’s Most Interesting
People, January 2014.
CHRIS HODGSON is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu who, inspired
by the food trucks he saw while living in New York City, brought
the very first food truck to the city of Cleveland in 2010. His truck,
Dim and Den Sum, gained a cult following and helped pave the
way for Cleveland’s food truck culture. Chris’ second truck, Hodge
Podge Truck, achieved nationwide recognition when he finished
second on Food Network’s The Great Food Truck Race and was
featured on Food Network’s unique Eats as well as Eat Street.
2013, Chris and partner Scott Kuhn launched Rothschild Farms,
and Rothschild Creamery. In 2014, Bin 216, all in PlayhouseSquare.
In Fall 2014 and Winter 2015, Chris, along with DoubleTree by

TOBY HEINTZELMAN | Operations Manager
Operations Manager Toby Heintzelman has 30 years of experience in the hospitality business,
having been at the head of organizations such as Gamekeepers Tavern and Pickwick and Frolic.
Toby creates the Driftwood Restaurant Group’s work environment by promoting the hospitality-
focused culture of the company. Always leading by example, his energy is unrivaled. Toby has a
consistent, positive attitude and a unique ability personalize his teaching. Coupled with an open
door policy and excellent communications skills, Toby creates an atmosphere where employees can
thrive.
SHAWN TATAROWICZ | Assistant Operations Manager
Shawn Tatarowicz brings 20 years of experience to the table, managing at such locally loved places
as Three Birds and Fire Food and Drink. Having his CSW and WSET, and continuing his studies in
the Court of Master Sommeliers, he brings a wealth of wine and spirits knowledge with him as well.
His work ethic, strong hospitality and service skills, along with a deep commitment to the Cleveland
food scene help to keep a growing company moving forward and sets a strong example for everyone
around him.
CHRIS JOHNSON | Executive Chef
With over 20 years of kitchen experience, Jud’s passion for the culinary industry began at age 14.
He graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York where he gained
expertise in high volume restaurants in Manhattan for 4 years. upon moving back to his native city
of Cleveland, Jud joined the Driftwood Group in 2014 where he saw an opportunity to grow with
our company assisting in a fast pace downtown location and our ever growing catering needs. Jud
oversees all preparation and planning of corporate luncheons and assists with many off-site events.
In his free time, Jud enjoys staying active with his wife and two children.
CATIE HODGSON | General Catering Manager
In 2010 Catie assisted in operations of Cleveland’s first food truck Dim and Den Sum with her
brother Celebrity chef Chris Hodgson. Since that time Catie has worked at many of his restaurants
in back and front of the house positions. In 2013 when the catering business took off Catie took
over as catering manager. It was a calling for her to use her energetic skills from the restaurant
business and her positive outlook to offer Cleveland big ideas, creative parties and unforgettable
experiences no matter what the occasion. Let Catie assist you in planning your upcoming event.
Catie specializes in weddings, bridal parties, bar/bat mitzvahs, and all your social needs.
NICOLE BAKKER | Corporate Event Manager
Native to Cleveland, Nicole joined the Driftwood Group as the Bar Manager catering and, in 2014
became our Corporate Event Planner. Nicole’s expertise in customer service started while working
in sales at Lexus in 2006. She got her start in the service industry bartending at The velvet Tango
Room for 3 years. Her experience with the Driftwood Restaurant Group began working in the front
of the house at our Downtown locations. She continues to amaze every corporate event with her
attention to detail and adding personal touches with our ever-growing events of up to 2000 guests.
Her outgoing personality and organization skills naturally lead her to be an effective Corporate
Event Planner. Nicole specializes in company lunches, fundraisers, and corporate events. When she
is not working, she enjoys laughing with her 2 young daughters.
ERINI ANTHOPOuLIS | Marketing Manager
Erini Anthopoulos is the Marketing Manager for the Driftwood Restaurant Group. In her role, she
leads social media marketing, customer outreach efforts, media planning and more. With over ten
years of professional hospitality experience and a bachelors of Public Relations from Cleveland
State university, Erini is thrilled to help lead Driftwood Group’s brand image.

I was fortunate to have won a catered meal for 20 people at
a non- profit live auction . The chefs were Scott Kuhn and
Chris Hodgson who own a number of very good restaurants
in the Cleveland area. They came highly recommended and I
am glad that I won the auction because they did a spectacular
job. The meal was a multiple course dinner prepared from
scratch at my home . Every course was fresh, interesting and
delicious. My guests were still talking about the meal a few
days after the event. Equally impressive was the perfect pace
of the service and the fact that they left my home in perfect
condition which made my wife very happy. I would highly
recommend Chris and Scott!

Having Hodge Podge and the Dim and Den Sum food
trucks at my clients' wedding was one of the biggest
highlights of their big day! Guests were delighted by
the late night snack. I'm hoping more of my clients can
surprise their guests with a fun late night meal again
soon, if not have them cater the entire thing.
Food trucks by Driftwood Catering is one of my favorite
suggestions to my brides and grooms. The staff works
with us to create an amazing custom menu that their
guests will love. We love the unique gourmet experience!

Bar Packages
This is the easiest route if you do not have the time to shop
for, purchase and transport your own alcohol. Alcohol
must be purchased through a state agency at cost for our
clients. Depending on how many guests you are planning
for, getting your own alcohol & mixers can be very labor
intensive and time consuming. We team up with a licensed
liquor agency to assist in quantity and selection of liquor
purchase. The fees for this service are based on alcohol
type, service time, and bar set-up. a bartender fee is
mandatory at $16 per hour. The following are the bar service

Supply Your Own Alcohol
Depending on the venue for your event, you may choose
to supply your own beer, wine & liquor. When our client
supplies their own alcohol, we supply bartenders to pour
and serve their guests. As an added service, we may supply
you with a Recommended Shop List based on your guest
count. This will help you with quantities for all your alcohol,
mixers & garnishes. This is the best way to go, if you are on
a minimal budget. A bartender is mandatory at $16/hour.
