Student Testimonial

“Living on the other side of the planet has taught me

how to become comfortable in a different way of life.

My understanding of the world has been sharpened:

I see that regardless of heritage, people everywhere

have the same needs, wants and dreams; and for

myself I have realized the endless amount of opinions,

concepts, and beliefs I can learn from everyone I

meet. I have found a great respect for the Chinese

students in particular. Being able to study with them

helped me see many subjects from another angle,

and allowed me to broaden my thoughts of policy,

economics and finance to encompass more than just

the United States. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in

China, and I hope to return someday. ”

Texas A&M University, USA - Ryan

“Trying to convey the exchange experience in a few

words is difficult. It’s a chance to shock yourself out

of your assumptions and comfort zone, and to see

who you really are when faced with a new culture. It’s

a chance to test your survival skills, social skills and

learning skills while seeing how academics and college

play different roles in a different society. The trip gave

me a lot to think about in terms of the differences

between the US and China, and China’s economic

significance and unique history that make the courses

interesting and important.”

Texas A&M University, USA - Andrew

11Research Institute of Economics and Management

“The exchange in Chengdu has been a great

experience that I would recommend. The good points

of SWUFE are that the campus is great, with a lot of

facilities for sport and parks, and the students were

also very open-minded and helpful. The teachers were

very nice. It was easy to talk to them and they were

very present to answer our questions and help us. The

quantity of work was good. The Chinese course was

also useful to improve our experience in China. ”

ESC RENNES, France - Romain Ruozzi
