Scout Sunday will be recognized during the 11:00 am service on March 13th. We will honor all boys, girls, adult leaders and volunteers who serve our community in their scouting organizations. We invite all
Scouts to attend the service and wear their uniform to church. This is a great opportunity to invite your troop member and friend to church. For
more information, please contact Kimberly Hayes at 912.313.1364.
A Lenten Blessing
Give up harsh words: use generous ones. Give up unhappiness: take up gratitude. Give up anger: take up gentleness and patience. Give up pessimism: take up hope and optimism. Give up worrying: take up trust in God. Give up complaining: value what you have. Give up stress: take up prayer. Give up judging others: discover Jesus within them. Give up sorrow and bitterness: fill your heart with joy. Give up selfishness: take up compassion for others. Give up being unforgiving: learn reconciliation. Give up words: fill yourself with silence, and listen to others. — anonymous, Latin America.

RHUMC Employment Opportunity
It is with mixed emotion that we begin the search for a new church secretary. We are sad to have Jill (and Brian) Niswonger leave Richmond Hill, but are excited for them as they prepare to relocate to Germany for Brian's new assignment with the Army. We thank them for all of their contributions to RHUMC and wish for them much happiness as they experience a new chapter in their lives.
Are you looking for a full-time job here in Richmond Hill? After reading a brief overview of the job found below, do you know someone that "fits the bill"? To see the whole job description, email the Staff-Parish Relations Committee or stop by the church office. Interested candidates may apply to the Staff-Parish Relations Committee by submitting a resume via email to [email protected].
The RHUMC secretary position is considered full time and requires 36 hours per week. The RHUMC secretary is first and foremost the assistant to the senior pastor and completes any and all tasks assigned by him/her. The main tasks the secretary completes each week are the weekly newsletter as well as the Sunday bulletin. The secretary is also often the first person visitors and newcomers encounter at the church, whether by phone or in person, and is therefore an important part of the church’s public image and outreach. Empathy and discretion, a positive attitude, strong problem solving ability and excellent interpersonal skills are critical qualifications.
As stated previously, interested candidates may apply to the Staff-Parish Relations Committee by submitting a resume via email to [email protected].
