The Role of a Mentor
We have a mentor for every confirmand, including six who are mentoring for the first time. Each mentor will meet weekly with his/her confirmand at a time and place agreed upon with parents. Along with parents and pastor, the mentors are the witnesses teaching and showing what the Christian faith is and the joy in choosing to follow Jesus. Mentors tell their own story and encourage the confirmands toward their own. Pray for our confirmands, their parents, and their mentors as they journey together. The confirmand/mentor pairings are listed below for your prayerful support.

Welcome New RHUMC Staff
Anna Cobb is starting her new position as assistant to Janine Blakeborough, Director of Children’s Ministries. Our children’s programs have grown and expanded, and we are blessed to need more help with the increasing number of children and events. Welcome, Anna!
We also welcome Monika Butler as a part-time housekeeper to the church staff. She will be helping us twice a week to keep our church clean amongst the multitude of meetings and events at our facility. Welcome, Monika!
New Mission Offering for Sunday School and Joyful
Jamboree Goal of $500 between now and
Easter Sunday
We are raising money to buy shoes for the children in the orphanage in Tapachula, Mexico. We were blessed to have a team help there last summer where we got to meet these amazing children. This money will go to Mission on the Move, missionaries out of Springfield, GA. Please consider helping us give them a special donation to offset an expense that is always daunting for 30 children each year. Thank you for your support!
Save the Date!
Children’s Sunday, February 28th at

Homelessness It’s cold and flu season, and lots of us will experience the winter crud. Imagine experiencing these winter maladies while
also homeless. Help Family Promise of Bryan County open our doors to be the prescription to end homelessness in our community! Specially-labeled pill bottles can be found in baskets around the church. Take a bottle, fill it with quarters and return it to the church office or to Jeanne Wallace in the Music Office. Campaign runs Jan 15 - Mar 15. For more info, visit www.familypromisebryancounty.org
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. ~ Proverbs 3:5-6

Donating items to Goodwill?

organization along with your donated items, Goodwill will
issue vouchers to Family Promise. These vouchers will then
be given out to families in our program, allowing them to go
to the Goodwill store and purchase
clothing items they may need. Pick up
your Donor Referral Card from the
information stations at the church or
email Jeanne at [email protected].
