This is our last week of school for Term Three. Remember to be Respectful, Responsible and Resilient for the last few days of the week. Thank you to all the parents who attended Parent Teacher interviews. The teachers appreciated the opportunity to speak to you and to tell you all of the wonderful things that your children are doing. If you missed the interviews please see the class teacher to make an alternative time in Term Four. We have moved the Academic Assembly to the first week back of next term. It will now be held Thursday 10th October from 9.15am in our Multipurpose Hall. Thank you staff and students for your understanding.
A reminder to all of you that Term Four begins on Tuesday the 8th of October. Have a safe and happy holidays everyone. Rebecca AITKEN-CARRUTH Acting Principal - Richlands East State School

Thank you for your understanding.
In week 9 the Prep students went on an adventure to Woolworths Inala. We learnt about healthy eating and how some of the food is made at Woolworths. Our favourite parts of the excursion was decorating cupcakes and going inside the giant freezer.
On Wednesday 18th September 4D, 4B and 4M viewed a wildlife demonstration as a part of the Brisbane City Councils “Bush Neighbours Program”. The students were able to view a number of native Australian animals including a Blue Tongue Lizard, Eastern Long Neck Turtle, Sugar Glider Possum, Tawny Frogmouth and a Coastal Python. Students learnt about each animal’s needs and what they can do to help them to survive in their own habitats. The highlight of the session was when the students were able to hold the Coastal Python!
