CAMPUS
PHOENIXA Circular Economy LeaderAs the 5th largest city in the U.S., Phoenix has established itself as a leader in the circular economy by fostering strategic business partnerships on the Resource Innovation Campus (RIC). Manufacturers, from start-ups to mature companies locating on the RIC, have direct access to the city's Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) and its feedstock that can be transformed into new products.
The RIC is conveniently situated in the Southwest Industrial Employment Corridor and near the PHX Innovation Core, where major industries have a strong presence:

PARTNERSHIPS
The RIC provides 50 acres of city-owned land available for development opportunities. The campus will serve as a circular economy hub and test bed dedicated to the creation of valuable public-private partnerships and growth of circular startups and mature companies.
Phoenix's partnership with Arizona State University's Resource Innovation Solutions Network (RISN) has resulted in several promising applied projects around circular economy:
Plastics into 3-D printing filament Reclaimed asphalt pavement Water conservation research of compost in city parks
The RIC is a gathering place for collaboration and solutions that can increase the diversion and conversion of waste locally. It offers:
