RAZ PLUS READING PROGRAM

Dear Parents

Team RGS believes in investing in the growth and development of the

children and making the schooling experience as productive as possible in

years to come. Improving knowledge through various programs is a way to

foster successful student learning. Therefore, the school has initiated the

RazPlus reading program to enhance the literacy skills of the students of

classes Prep- 5. It is an effective learning tool wherein more than 3000

books support the building of knowledge, phonic skills, and vocabulary in

students. Students can use the online portal independently as well and the

progress of the child can be monitored monthly based on the system-

generated reports. The whole program is being implemented through

rigorous training and mentoring of the teachers.

Enclosed is the video and document on how to use the platform. The

program is offered free of cost for a month. The cost of registration is

Rs.90/- pm/student will be charged after the feedback from the students,

teachers, and parents.

KIDS A-Z LOG IN PROCESS

In our constant endeavour to better literacy skills in our children, we have subscribed to

Learning A-Z’s RAZ Plus program.

Raz-Plus, Science A-Z and Writing A-Z is a comprehensive blended learning platform

that includes the curricular support teachers need and the personalized resources

necessary to improve students' literacy skills. With more than 50,000 resources that

include more than 3,000 levelled books and readers available in multiple formats, makes

it easier than ever before to strengthen the connection between what is being taught

and what students are practicing.

Following are the steps to using the platform.

1. Log in to kidsa-z.com from your laptop/desktop or download the kids a-z

app.

2. Enter the teacher username; to be intimated individually.

3. Find your child’s name with an image icon.

4. Enter the unique password of your child

Once you enter the portal, this is what you will see. Enter the Reading planet, Science planet or Writing planet.

The space-themed portal is available through KidsA-Z.com and on the Kids A-Z mobile

app

Level Up!

Level Up! contains a collection of books that students can complete to automatically advance to the next Learning A-Z reading level. Students automatically Level Up! once

they listen to and read all the books, and pass the comprehension quiz with a score of 80% or higher.

My Assignment

Students go to the My Assignment area to complete activities that the teacher has digitally assigned.

Reading Room

The Reading Room is where students can access reading resources for reading practice

and enjoyment. The Reading Room makes it easy for students to find level-appropriate books by topic, category or popularity.

Flight Check

Flight Check appears for students when the teacher assign them a digital assessment,

such as a digital Running Record using the Benchmark Passages or Books.

Messages

Students can use the dashboard to navigate to messages from the teacher and to view notifications when they earn badges.

Right next to the child’s username, the stars earned will appear. For instance, Namya has 129590 stars. She has earned them by listening, reading and solving the

comprehension quizzes of the books.

A child can view/ listen to the messages by going to the messages bar.

Star Zone

Students earn stars by completing activities. They can spend their stars by customizing

their avatar in the Avatar Builder, or Raz Rocket in the Star Zone.

Stats

Students can check their reading progress and badges in Stats.

Badges

Badges reward students for achieving milestones and incentivize them to complete more activities. These badges will help students set goals and become more engaged in their learning.

teacher has subscribed to is shown. Your child can work on assignments or select other resources for reading and writing practice.
