EDITORIAL FOREWORD.

I N response to many requests we reprint a selection of the black and white

sketches and caricatures which have appeared in the Gryphon during

the past few years. Substantially this issue is a reproduction of the Cohen

Supplement which has been out of print for some time ; there are, however,

one or two additions, and several drawings have been omitted, partly on

account of expense and partly on account of their being of little interest now.

The next and last issue of the journal this session will be of the

usual type, and we hope to receive sufficient contributions to exercise our

editorship— which we much prefer in these degenerate days to authorship.

Contributions may be sent in up to May 25th.
