CLEAR and CLEAN

Page 28: Reynaldo O. Joson, MD, MHA, MHPEd, MSc Surg rjoson2001@yahoo

Do’s and Don’ts in Creating Digital Slides

Parameters and Criteria WORD SLIDES

1 CLEAR in that the contents can be clearly seen by the audience from a reasonable distance

2 Clear font type (Arial recommended)3 Adequate font size (at least size 24, preferably

size 28. If smaller than 24 needed, lowest, 16, but in bold!)

Parameters and Criteria WORD SLIDES

6 Non-obscuring background (use simple background design)

7 Clear and one theme / topic per slide8 Avoid incorrect spelling / incorrect syntax.9 Use simple background design.10 Avoid jampacked word slides.

Limit to 7 lines (not more than 10 lines) in the body of each slide as much as possible.

Do’s and Don’ts in Creating Digital Slides

Parameters and Criteria PICTURE SLIDES

2 With proper lighting (not over-exposed; not under-exposed)

3 With proper size of intended focus of interest (proper zooming-in or close-up)

Page 33: Reynaldo O. Joson, MD, MHA, MHPEd, MSc Surg rjoson2001@yahoo

Do’s and Don’ts in Creating Digital Slides

Parameters and Criteria PICTURE SLIDES

6 With proper orientation /proper pointers, markers, and / or illustrations as needed

7 Not too many contents as these will impair the clarity of the picture because of sacrifice in size
