FOR TEACHER I POSITIONS

Effective SY 2007 – 2008, further revisions to the

hiring guidelines shall be implemented by ALL

School Divisions, consistent to the

pertinent provisions of existing laws, rules, and

Applies to the filling up of newly created or natural vacancies for Teacher I positions and shallcover the:

SCOPE

*APPLICANT

*QUALIFIED APPLICANT (meets the evaluation and selection requirements)

*REGISTRY OF QUALIFIED *APLLICANTS (RQA) (at least 50 points)

*BONAFIED RESIDENT (6 months)


DEFINITION OF TERMS

* Only applicants INCLUDED in the SD RQA shall be recommended by the Schools Selection Committee for appointment.

* Once all QA in the RQA who are bonafide residents of barangays where school vacancies are located have been recommended for appointment, remaining vacancies shall be filled by the remaining QA who are bonafide residents of the next larger level of locality above the barangay, which is the municipality, city or province.


GUIDING POLICIES ON HIRING OF TEACHERS

* The Superintendent shall appoint only the Qas recommended by the School Selection Committee in the schools/districts where the vacancies exists.

* Regional Directors shall regularly monitor the implementation of the revised hiring guidelines by the School Divisions.

• Submits the list of applicants with the corresponding documents to the Division Sub – committee

• Recommends to the Superintendent the QA in the Division RQA to be recommended for appointment in their school

• Conducts interview and observes demo teaching of applicants

• Consolidates individual ratings and submits the initial rank list of QA to the Division Selection Committee

Division Selection Committee*In a schools division where there is NO ASDS, the Superintendent shall designate an EPS I as chair, in addition to the 2 EPS I

*The AO for personnel matters shall provide secretariat services to the Division Selection Committee and shall maintain records of proceedings of all deliberations.

The matching of QA in the RQAs with the available vacant positions in the schools shall be one consistent with the provisions of RA 8190 (Localization Law) and other pertinent laws, rules, and regulations.
