Talking about using Nets to find Surface Area of 3-dimensional shapes!

Finding Volume is easy!V = lwhHow much stuff can we pack inside a box?

Remember the formulas for finding Area of rectangles, triangles, trapezoids, and parallelograms!Formula!Substitute!Solve!

Triangles are ½ of rectangles!

Remembering everything we learned is a challenge! But, With careful notes and practice we can do it!

STUFF TO REMEMBER!Area of a Rectangle = (base)(height)= bhArea of a triangle = ½ (base)(height) = ½ bhArea of a parallelogram = (base)(height) = bhArea of a trapezoid = ½ (height)(base + base) = ½ h(b +
b)Surface Area = find the area of each face of the shape and
add the areas together!Sometimes drawing a net helps to find the surface area!Volume = (length)(height)(width) = lwhGraphing points = (x,y), remember there are 4 quadrants!Use the absolute value to find the distance between
points. If the points are in different quadrants add! If the points are in the same quadrant subtract!
