IBBS, HSS

• In the year 2013-14, Under the directives of NACO, HIV Sentinel

Surveillance among HRG and Bridge population is being replaced by

Integrated Biological & Behavioral Surveillance(IBBS). The key field

activities of IBBS includes the Pre- Surveillance assessment (PSA), sample

frame development , community preparation & data collection. Except

sample collections, all activities are completed. Sample collection will be

start from end of April 2015.

• This year 15th round of HIV Sentinel Surveillance was carried out from

the period of 1st January to 31st March 2015 in ANC sites. National AIDS

Research Institute is extending technical support as regional institute for

this survey. Under MSACS HSS will be carried out in all 34 districts total

68 main sites & 29 sub sites total 97 sites.
