Rev. Msgr. Mike Dieckmann I'm the son of Audrey and the late Keith Dieckmann (mom still works as one of the secretaries at Our Lady of Sorrows parish). I'm the eldest of my three brothers and three sisters. I came to Prep South from OLS parish along with 3 other OLS lads. Do you recall who they were? After Prep I continued to Cardinal Glennon College where I learned to play bass and acoustic guitar and was a member of the “Origin of Species” and “April's Children”, not to mention the AV committee. Then it was on to Kenrick Seminary and eventually ordination to the priesthood on May 18, 1974. I served as associate pastor at St. Raphael (74 -80), with a one year stint teaching at Dubourg, St. Anthony in High Rridge (80 – 86), and Annunciation in Webster Groves (86 – 92). Someone at the Chancery Office decided to name me pastor at Good Shepherd in Hillsboro in 92. Since July of 2000 I've been the pastor at St. Paul in Fenton. Along the way I've served the Archdiocese as a Consultor and as a member and past president of the Priest Mutual Benefit Society (fancy moniker for clergy health and welfare department). I currently serve the Fenton Precinct of the St. Louis County Police Department as a chaplain. In 2008 I was honored to be named a Monsignor by Pope Benedict XVI. I still (on occasion) play my guitar. I became an amateur radio operator in 1980 with the call sign KA0IAR and love to tinker with all kinds of tech. I also love going on cruises. My lifelong dream still awaits me as I write this...seeing my beloved St. Louis Blues hoist the Stanley Cup. In the immortal words of Janis Joplin, 'that's it!”.
