Day 8, Sunday 19th Feb, Mt Tabor/UK: We go up to the sum-mit of Mt Tabor by taxis to the Church of Transfiguration (cost included) and tour here. Enjoy the magnificent panoramic view right across the Jezreel Valley (when the sky is clear). Lunch in a nearby restaurant then proceed to the airport for our flight back to London Heathrow.

Return to our hotel for evening dinner.

Day 5, Thursday 16th Feb, Jerusalem/Ein Karem: Early coach to the summit of the Mt of Olives (East Jerusalem). We visit Pater Noster Grotto where Jesus taught His Prayer, Our Father, Dominus Flevit (where Jesus wept over Jerusa-lem) and Gethsemane Garden and the Basilica of The Church of All Nations. Then on to The Garden Tomb for a one hour service. We drive to Tel Aviv Old Jaffa Beach and spend some time here either wondering in the tiny streets and paths of the old town and the famous Flea market or just simply spending your time on the beach. We will have lunch here. Return to the hotel for evening dinner.

Day 6, Friday 17th Feb, Nazareth/Cana: We leave Bethle-hem and drive along the Jordan Valley to Nazareth and on to the Annunciation Basilica (magnificent Basilica that domi-nates the skyline of Nazareth). Here we visit the Grotto where the Annunciation took place, St Joseph’s Grotto and Workshop. Walking across the road we visit the Synagogue of Jesus and Mary’s Well followed by lunch and then pro-ceed to Cana to visit the church where the first miracle of Jesus occurred. Renewal of Marriage Vows for married cou-ples. Check-in to our hotel and overnight here.

Day 7, Saturday 18th Feb, Tiberias/River Jordan/ Tabgha: Drive to the River Jordan for the renewal of Baptismal Vows and spend some time here. Proceed to Mt of Beatitudes where the Sermon on the Mount took place, on to St Peter’s Primacy where Christ appeared to the Apostles after His Res-urrection and the church of the Feeding of the 5,000. We will have lunch here and a private boat sail on the Sea of Galilee (one of the highlights of your pilgrimage). Then on to Capernaum - the town of Jesus, where we visit St Peter’s Church and view the remains of the ancient Synagogue in which Jesus used to teach. Return to hotel for dinner.

DAILY ITINERARY

EXCELLENT ITINERARY & OUTSTANDING VALUE PILGRIMAGE

Day 1, Sunday 12th Feb, UK/Bethlehem: Depart London Heathrow on flight to Tel Aviv. Everyone meets at the airport. Upon arrival at Tel Aviv airport, your guide and coach will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel in Bethlehem. Evening dinner at the hotel. Note: if we arrive after 10pm at the hotel, sandwiches will be served instead.

Day 2, Monday 13th Feb, Bethlehem / Shepherd’s Field: De-part for Manger Square at 8:00am., Mass in St Catherine’s Church followed by tour in the basilica visiting St Joseph’s Grotto, Franciscan Church of the Nativity and the Grotto of the Nativity - where Jesus was born. We will give some time to have a look around then we will have lunch. Afterwards visit the Milk Grotto and the Museum of the Miracles. Local bus to Shepherd’s field, visit Grottos there and visit Chapel above - where the angels first sang the ‘Gloria in Excelcis Deo’ on the night of the first Christmas. We will have a chance to do some shopping before we return to the hotel for our even-ing dinner.

Day 3, Tuesday 14th Feb, Jerusalem: Early departure to Jeru-salem and to the Old City (Lions Gate) and walk to St Anne’s church, where Our Lady was born, and the Pool of Bethesda. Proceed to the church of Ecce Homo, built on the site of the Palace of Pilate. We start the Stations of the Cross along via Dolorosa following the route Our Lord walked on the first Good Friday. We will take turns to carry a cross here changing at every station and finishing in the Holy Sepulchre Basilica. Afterwards visit Mt Calvary and the Holy Tomb of Jesus and lunch in the Old City. After lunch we visit the Western (Wailing) Wall which is part of the remaining wall around the temple that was destroyed in AD70 - this is the holiest place for Jewish people. Continue on and walk to St Peter’s in Galli-cantu - a truly incredible Shrine - and visit the dungeon where Jesus was imprisoned after His mock trial on Maundy Thurs-day night. Return to our hotel for dinner.

Day 4, Wednesday 15th Feb, Jerusalem/Bethany/Dead Sea: Depart for Bethany, visit St Lazarus’s Church and proceed to Jericho (the oldest the city in the world). We view Mt of Temptation and Zacchaeus’s Sycamore Tree. We have lunch in Qumran and then proceed to the Dead Sea to experience the floating in the Sea. We spend the rest of the afternoon here.
