Recently,thena?onalchildwelfarecaseloadincludedabout320,000casesofsubstan?atedneglectinvolvingyoungchildrenbetweenagesofbirthandsixyears.Ofthese,about100,000wereinfants.That’sequaltoabout2500schoolbusescarryingonlyinfantsorthreefootballstadiumsfullofbabies…Acrossthena?on,neglectaccountsfor60-80%ofsubstan?atedcasesoverall.
