Chapter 3
Tuesday:
Bus tour of New York- Yellow double-decker bus. Stop at Battery Park and take a ferry from there to the Statue of Liberty: Liberty Island.
New York tour
86th floor of Empire State Building: the family has a 360º degree view of the city.
Statue of Liberty: this monument was a present from France to celebrate centenary of American independence in 1886.

Chapter 4
Wednesday:
Window shopping on Fifth Avenue.
-Famous area of Manhattan.
-Girls and Max decide to go for Hotdogs in Times Square.
Fifth Avenue: This is one of the most expensive shopping streets in the world and it’s where you can see lots of parades like the St Patrick’s Day Parade.
-The note said to meet on Thursday at 5pm at the Empire State Building.
-The film that Alyssa mentioned was “Sleepless in Seattle”.

Chapter 4
Thursday:
-Max’s 13th birthday.
-He is going to be a teenager.
-His father gave him a new video game and money to buy some cool clothes.
-Breakfast: Pancakes with maple syrup, waffles, French toast, eggs, bacon and sausages.
-The girls choose pancakes with bacon and maple syrup and orange juice.
-They all decide to meet outside the hotel at 4:30 pm.
-Max noted the basket that Kelvin brought sitting on the subway train.
The New York Subway: The first underground line of the subway opened on October 27, 1904.
-On reaching the Empire State Building, they take elevator to 86th floor (Observation deck).
-It was covered with balloons and streamers.
-His mom and half-sister also come.
