TECDP (Technology Early Career Development Program) Summer Intern: Project Manager
Managed an application development team throughout the summer that focused on the ideation and
creation of a web application to improve the satisfaction and overall health of Cigna’s customers.
Worked closely with other project managers on my team in order to analyze problems within the health
care community and develop solutions to assist caregivers in their delivery of healthcare services.
Collaborated with team members with diverse skill sets in order to achieve project milestones and
deliverables, improve process flow and resolve issues within my team (worked with: developers, business
analysts, systems analysts, designers, architects, security specialists, and database specialists).
Maintained project backlog using the JIRA organizational tool and held backlog meetings with my team
to properly track project deliverables throughout the development lifecycle.
Communicated with full-time project mentors and business sponsors throughout the summer to improve
features developed within the application.

Analyzed company claim data in order to help in the creation of a “Cost to Serve” model that calculated
the cost of an insurance claim over the life of the claim (the duration it takes for a claim to be handled).
Developed spreadsheets and utilized pivot tables/charts to help create the financial plan for 2014 in order
to properly analyze and plan future budgets.
