Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure that the work is performed in compliance with approved Quality Control Procedure, Construction Code and related requirements.

Responsibilities include the inspection of new and existing electrical systems and equipment to ensure compliance with Project Specification and national codes for materials, workmanship and safety factors.

Sound judgment and familiarity with a variety of electrical installation and repair problems. Work is performed under general supervision and is subject to review by an Electrical Inspections Field Supervisor or an Electrical Inspections Supervisor.

Inspects new and existing wiring and electrical installations in Petrochemical Plant, Steel Plant, non-residential buildings and structures of any size or height such as Petrochemical Plant, Construction work, office buildings and manufacturing plants to determine that installations conform to approved plans and/or applicable electrical codes and standard.

Responsible to ensure that plant inspection activities are completed according to all applicable engineering standards, procedures, codes and Project inspection requirements.

The work involves all aspects of Electrical inspection discipline including , Coatings, Relief Valves, and Non-Destructive Testing inspections to ensure plant inspection programs is in compliance with Project engineering requirements, standards, specifications, and Industry Codes.

Responsible Equipments Inspection such as 132 kv and 33 kv SF6 Gas insulated switchgear 415v MCC,STAP Down transformer 132/33 kv,33 kv HV/MV/LV, Power distribution boards, UPS panel, Battery rack and batteries, lighting fixtures, small power socket outlets and welding outlets. Electrical trace heating cable installation, lighting protection copper tap and earth rod (PIT) installation, cathodic protection anode and rectified transformer installation.

Visual Inspection, Cable lying, dressing & tagging, Cable trench. Testing of switchgears & Function checks, C.T.V.T ration test, MM2, M60 relay setting & Function checks.

Perform witness and hold point inspections as required by Client work instruction.

Resolve quality deficiencies in conjunction with the subcontractor and client QC Personnel. If unable to resolve discuss with client QC Coordinator.

Testing of transformers like Insulation resistance, Vector Group, Tap changer ratio test, Oil dielectric strength test.

Testing of cables, Hippo tests MV/HV 3.3/6.6 & 33 KV, Cable Beggaring & Continuity checks.

Battery connections, Battery charging & discharging, Capacity test, UPS function checks.

Inspection of motors, MV/HV and testing like Insulation resistance, Winding resistance, PI value no load solo run-LCS function check.

Testing of Ring main cables, HSCI anode, and power feeder cable & cus04 electrode.

Witnessing and sentencing of all site inspections within their disciplines.

Coordinate all site inspections with the site subcontractors. Ensure that all inspection reports are accurate and that all attached

documents are current status. Ensure all work is correctly prepared prior to any inspection being undertaken. Coordination with different discipline & Engineering department for the site

technical queries & coordination for non-conformance work and modification job.

Close monitoring of all in process site activities for mechanical equipment to achieve project quality requirements.

Responsible for inspection of cable trench, duct bank, installation of cable tray, conduits etc.

Inspection of electrical and Instrumentation works ensuring that the workmanship complies with the specifications and standards.

Inspecting electrical maintenance activities and instrument calibration of Boilers, Batching Plant, Sewage Treatment Plant and Ice Plant.

Inspection of electrical devices, instruments and gauges supplied for installation are free from internal and external damage and comply with the parameters stated in the specification sheets.

Scheduling daily inspection activities in line with clients’ requirement. Supervising and implementing QMS documentation coordinate with the company’s representative in Mechanical completion.

Preparation of Documents and submitted to certification. Knowledge of Standard codes IEC, BS, ISO 9000.NEC & ANSI.

Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.

Monitors an assigned area for construction being performed without a permit or dangerous conditions and issues notices of violation where unsafe or illegal conditions exist then conducts follow-up inspections.
