About theproject!

“Plastic is the new green” is a youth exchange that will involve 48 young people

from 8 countries. In this project we are going to share knowledge about the

protection of the environment reducing the level of pollution made by ourselves,

with a specific target “Recycle”. During the project we are going to analyse the

phenomena of pollution in the world and the main objectives that the EU want to

reach to make a more sustainable world. In the project we are going to invite you

to “crafty” and to show to the local community how to use use recycling

knowledge to a better future. The project is designed to stimulate dialogue among

young people through creativity, art and culture. Thanks to the project "Plastic is

the new green" we will develop a new sense among young people on how to

keep the recycle a game and a resource to live a sustainable community.

All the activities will be developed through non-formal methods and we are going

to realize workshops, meeting and activities to “Reuse” materials; The

participants will hold workshops on working with plastic, tetra pack boxes, pet

bottles, paper, etc.... They will have the chance to work in a multicultural

environment designed to share among each other goals of different countries in

the field of recycling.

CERTIFICATEAll participants in the youth exchange “Plastic is the new green” will receive

Youthpass, a certificate which proves their participation in the youth exchange.

Youthpass is a tool to document and recognize learning outcomes from youth work

activities. It is available for projects funded by Erasmus+: Youth in Action (2014-

2020). It is a part of the European Commission’s strategy to foster the recognition

of non-formal learning, putting policy into practice and practice into policy:

- While creating their Youthpass certificate together with a support person, project

participants are given the possibility to describe what they have done in their

project and which competences they have acquired. Youthpass supports the

reflection upon the personal non-formal learning process and outcomes;

2019-3-IT03-KA105-017272

- As a Europe-wide recognition instrument for non-formal learning in the youth

field, Youthpass strengthens the social recognition of youth work;

- Youthpass also aims at supporting the employability of young people and of

youth workers by raising their awareness of and helping to describe their

competences, and by documenting their acquisition of key competences on a

certificate. Your sending NGO will provide all relevant information about the

Youthpass certificate and you can also check it yourself on the official website

www.youthpass.eu/en/

Information

The HostelIn the hostel the participants will have free Wi-fi, in the free time we can

play pool, and “Football table”. The hostel is close to the main square of the

town, that is just 5 minutes by walk.

If the weather will be ok we will do most of the activities in the garden

outside or in the centre of the town.

In the following part some pictures about the rooms and the space around

us:

RulesBasic rules about respecting each other will be mandatory: being on time,

respecting the others, cleaning up after yourself, following the accommodation

rules, separating wastes (we are going to develop a project about Environment

so it will be pity :)), following the workshops and sessions actively. Anyway in

the beginning of the exchange, rules will be presented in detail and discuss in

non formal way. It is very important that potential applicants consider this.

There are two goals: learn and having fun. Do not come only with the second

purpose. If you do not like the topic or do not have interest to share anything,

please consider other projects to go. Serious misbehaviours, such as drug usage,

violence, sexual harassment, theft or any other, will result in us calling the

police, excluding you from the exchange and not reimbursing your travel costs.

NOTE: travel can be partially of fully removed to the people who:

- Do not take part in the whole length of the Exchange;

- Skip the workshops (hangover is not a reason for that);

- Repeatedly break the basic rules and not react to warnings;

- Commit any serious misbehaviours;
