3GPP TS 36.331 E-UTRA RRC Protocol specification (Rel-8)  complete implementation of the protocol layer as defined in the 3GPP TS 36.331 E-UTRA Radio Resource Control (RRC) Protocol specification for the eNodeB network element. The . LTE-Uu Protocol

Description:RRC connection control:

Establishment/modification/release of RRC connection, including e.g., assignment/ modification of UE identity (C-RNTI), establishment/ modification/ release of SRB1 and SRB2, ac-cess class barring,Initial security activation, i.e., initial configuration of AS integrity protection (SRBs) and AS ciphering (SRBs, DRBs),RRC connection mobility including e.g., intra-frequency and inter-frequency handover, associated security handling, i.e., key/ algorithm change, specifica-tion of RRC context information transferred between network nodes,Establishment/ modification/ release of RBs carrying user data (DRBs),Radio configuration control including e.g., assignment/ modification of ARQ configuration, HARQ configuration, DRX configuration

QoS control including assignment/ modification of semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) configuration information for DL and UL, assignment/ modification of parameters for UL rate con-trol in the UE, i.e., allocation of a priority and a prioritized bit rate (PBR) for each RB

2. Gateway GPRS Support Node Transciever Technologies

October 2013 to Dec 2013

Clients Cisco Sytems, USA

Technologies LTE/GGSN Gateway/GTP protocol.

Cisco Gateway GPRS Support Node forms a core part on 3G networks in proving GPRS packet radio access to GSM users. GTP (GPRS Tunneling Protocol) is the ip based communication protocol between GGSN and its peer’s.

Working on the Machine 2 Machine model support implementation in GGSNGGSN application software will need to support the Network Requested PDP activation procedureWherein, when as message destined to the user is received on GGSN, it need to send Mobile Subscriber activation request and allow the MS to create a session and allow the MS to respond the server request. This Network Initiated PDP(context) creation.

My role here is to implement an FSM model in GGSN application to support all the call flows.

3.Home-Agent Gateway device Transciever Technologies

Feb 2012 – OCT 2013

Clients Cisco Systems,USA.

Product/Technologies CISCO Network Gateways, Home-Agent Software development.

Mobile-IP(MIP) routing protocol allows user to un-interruptedly access the destinations servers without changing its IP.MIP users contact HomeAgent (HA) gateway for authorization through a foreign agent. This foreign agent is care-of address for the user, therefore HA establishes a MIP tunnelto foreign agent for all data services.

Worked in the Home-Agent gateway devices feature design and development which includes Layer 3 tunneling support for Mobile-IP GRE/IP and MIP/UDP tunneling

for Mobile IP application running on Home-Agent Gateway.Developed code support

To identify the user and type of tunneling needed in signaling path.

Establish a tunneling interface for every foreign agent, intercept the user data packets, provide GRE/MIP-UDP encapsulation and de-capsulation apply rules and accounting for the user traffic.

Programming language : CScripting :Perl/TTCN-3Platform: : CISCO IOS.

Roles and Responsibilities: Design and development as per the specifications

4.Radio Resource Control (Layer 3) Radio Bearer Release Transciever Technologies

Dec2009 to Jan2012

Client Samsung .

Products/Technologies UMTS-U.E

This procedure releases one or more RB’s. This procedure can be done in two different ways: Synchronized and Unsynchronized. The Unsynchronized procedure is simpler because the old and new configurations can coexist and therefore the change does not have to take place simultaneously in the UE and in the UTRAN. The Synchronized procedure uses time parameter to ensure synchronizationProgramming language: C

Scripting : PerlPlatform : LINUX

Roles and Responsibilities: Study of 3GPP TS 25.331 (Rel’99, Rel’5), TS 34.123 and writing the test Specifications.

Identification and review of Test Cases and Test execution. Documenting test reports, defect reports, and bug reports. Documentation for High Level Design and Low Level Design. Good knowledge and practice of Verification process, test methodologies and Quality

initiatives. Developing the codes using C Language on Linux OS.

5. Radio Resource Control (Layer 3) RRC Connection Establishment Transciever Technologies

Jan 2009 to Dec 2009

Clients United Telecoms, Bangalore.

Technologies

RRC Connection Establishment procedures are used to switch UE from Idle mode to RRC Connected mode. For this, the initiation can be done either by the UE (Call Originating) or by the Network (Terminated Call).

The RRC Connection Establishment is initiated by UE-RRC and that will be terminated by UTRAN-RRC. The UTRAN responds with RRC Connection Setup message. Once the UE RRC receives RRC Connection Setup message with the same UE identities that are transmitted on RRC Connection Request message, UE-RRC will send RRC Connection Setup Complete message otherwise UE RRC retransmits the RRC Connection Request message. If no resources are available at that instant UTRAN sends RRC Connection Reject message.
