Results for the Questionnaire
My first question asked was as following:
15 people answered this question, 8 were male and 7 were female; 53.3% male, 46.7% female.
From the second question:
It showed that 60% of the 15 people, male and female, who answered this question, listen to music as often as they can.
Question 3:
Results were closer than expected but 33.3% of people who answered this question would rather listen to the rock band Linkin Park than any other on the list, so because of these results, I shall have a photo of Linkin Park as the central image on my rock magazine.
Question 4:
Just over half of the people who answered this question (53.3%) said they don’t/would never buy a music magazine. This wasn’t very helpful for me but the next highest answer (26.7%) showed that they would/do buy a magazine once month; from these answers I would a new magazine a monthly.
Question 5:
These results show most people would buy a rock magazine, further convincing me that a rock magazine is the right choice. Pop music came close behind, so maybe I could make it slight pop/rock too.
Question 6:
This question helped me figure out how I could sell the magazine, making it suit the majority of the audience’s taste. Two answers came out on top; what’s on the front cover and the genre of the magazine. Since in my earlier questions, they had already answered Linkin Park as their favourite choice and chose rock as the genre, I know what to choose for my music magazine. The price came closely behind so I will keep that in mind too.
Question 7:
The next and final question helped me choose a price for my magazine. 46.7% of people said they would pay between £2.00 and £4.00 for a music magazine. This answer was closely followed by “£1.00 – £2.00”. From these results, I will probably price my magazine around about £2.00.
