complete my questionnaire so I could find
out about different audiences however, I
focused mainly on 16-18 year olds as they
are my target audience.

The majority of the people that answered ‘yes’
were in the 16-18 age group, this reassures
me that my target audience are interested in
buying music magazines and could buy mine if
it’s completed to a high standard.
The magazine ‘Vibe’ (rap & hip-hop genre)
was the one most people stated they
purchased, this tells me that my magazine is
a popular genre and will receive a lot of
attention. On the other hand i now know that
i need to make my magazine unique as it
has a lot of competition.

Most people were willing to pay £1.50 to
£2.50, this is the average price for a
magazine. This information is valuable as I
know not to over price my magazine.
Hip-hop was the most popular
choice which proves I have chosen
the correct genre for my target
audience.

More than ½ of the people chose
‘pictures, stories & news’ This supports
my initial ideas which suggest that I use
lots of pictures.
The results were very close, this
tells me that I need to include
aspects of every answer in my
magazine.

The main colour scheme choices were
dark and bright. These two contrast
which makes it difficult for me to choose
one however, I researched deeper into
the question and found that most 16-18
year olds voted for dark, this allowed me
to choose a dark colour scheme as they
are my target audience.
These results give me an idea of what
I need to include in my magazine in
order to appeal to the target audience.
The number one choice was ‘celebrity
interviews’ this helps me organise and
gain ideas for what I will write about in
my double page spread.

Most people opted for 2 magazines a month. In fact, the people that
went with this choice were the ones that claimed they enjoyed Hip-hop
music. This information tells me that my target audience are purchasing
magazines regularly which means it’s likely that my magazine will be
bought.
