Structure, governance snd management
The Charity is constituted as s Trust with a Trust deed as the governing document.The Trustees are Lord Griffiths of Fforesffach, Lord McColl of Dulwich CBE MS FRCSFAGS FRCSE, The Rt Hon Sir Geoffrey PaNe, The Rt Hon Ruth Kelly, Mr StewartNewton FCA, Mr Michkrl Bekker and Mr Philip Wood.
All the Trustees are active in attending Trustee meetings and events organised by thecharity and fully participate in the planning of activities
Objective and activtths
CRPA was set up to support lay people hciding positions of responsibility and lo helpthem relate their faith to their work and their roles in public service. The goal is to bring
together people in leadership from dilferent sech' who face common challenges andlO help them think through their reepcnW'bilities within the contetd Of the Chrietian faith
with the intention that they will be betler equipped to carry out their professionalresponsibilities, Through CRPA. people have been encouraged to ba invoNed in
responding to community needs, charitable ventures and educational initiatives. Thacharity is ecumenical but it is not a campaigning body.
ActivNes indude dinners, lectures, talks, panels, conferences and small groupmeetings that are orgsnlsed wkh speakers from business, finance, polIcs, education,religion. arts end the media.
Achievements and performance
During the year there have been over 1 200 people who have attended different eventsorganised by the charity. Speakers have induded Government Ministers, MP's,
Ivlembers of the House of Lords, CEO's, Judges, journalists, authors, academics,entrepreneurs, polictans, senior Civil Servants, Chief Execulives of NGO's,
Archbishops, bankers, business and other professional people. The subjects of thetalks have induded Vlho is my neighbour? Migration, Asylum seekers andGlobatisatkxt', 'Capitalism and inequality', 'Are there Christian perspecbvm on Brexit?'
There are always new people who attend the different events hosiad by CRPA as wellas continuing to build exkrlng links between those already involved with CRPA.
A conference was held at St George's House, Windsor Castle with 68 peopkrparticipating from 13courHries. A special Advent Service was held in December 2015at which over 480 people a~ inckjding a high number with no previous contactwith the charily.
The Trusb}es held regular meebngs throughout the year to plan and discuss the rangeof acbvihes. The Trustees regularly evaluate the impact that Ihe acgvities of the charityhave on meeting Its objectives,
Financial Review
The Trustees regularly assess the financial position of the charity. They monitor theexpenditure snd seek a healthy balance of reserves. Activities are planned sndbudgeted within available resources. A copy of the statement of financial activitiesfor the year ended 30 June 2016 is attached to this report.
Total incoming Resources in~ by 9% to 638,662 for the financial year (2015;881,549). Resources Expended decreased by 3% to f73,704 (versus 876,147). Intotal, the Charity Iapcrted an increase in funds available Of 816.773, The TruStees areof the view thai the Charity continues to be fmanchlly sound and fully capable ofpursuing its objecdvss. The total funds available to the Charity, including its reserves,amounted to 671.588 as of 30 June 2016 compared to f54,816 on 30 June 2015.
