TOLERANCE Prejudice – is an unfair opinion of
judgment of a particular group of people.
Stereotype – is an exaggerated or oversimplified belief about people who belong to a certain group.
*Tolerance –ability to accept others’ differences.

DISRESPECTFUL BEHAVIORS….
Bullying – deliberately harming or threatening other people who cannot easily defend themselves.
Hazing – making others perform certain tasks in order to join the group.

CLOSE FRIENDSHIPS These are friends with the following traits:
Loyalty – a good friend sticks by you in both the good times and bad. Your friend likes you for who you are.
Honesty – You can trust a good friend to be truthful with you, even when the truth is painful.
Empathy – a good friend is caring and sensitive to your feelings.
Reliability – a close friend can always be counted on. You know your friend will try hard not to let you down.

COMMUNICATION STYLES Aggressive – being overly forceful,
pushy, or hostile. Passive – unwilling or unable to express
thoughts and feelings in a direct or firm manner.
Assertive – expressing your views clearly and respectfully.

SPEAKING SKILLS……. “I” Messages – statements that focus on your
feelings rather than someone else’s behavior.
Listing Skills…… Active Listening – paying attention to what
someone is saying and communicating. (not interrupting, show interest) Body Language – nonverbal communication
through gestures, facial expressions, behaviors, and posture.
