WHAT IS THE ... RESOURCE INNOVATION CAMPUS?

In 2013, Mayor Greg Stanton and City Councilmembers announced a new citywide sustainabilityinitiative, Reimagine Phoenix, to divert 40 percentof waste from the city landfill by 2020.

It is an ambitious goal that the city hopes toachieve through: enhancing the city’s current solidwaste programs to encourage more sustainablepractices; increasing community outreach,communication and education about sustainabilityefforts to residents and to businesses; andpartnering with industry and community leaderson sustainability.

The City of Phoenix is looking for innovators who have the passion to transformtrash into resources.
