WIRELESS INTERNET GUIDE
Your WIFI application will show you a number of the resort’s wireless access points. Connect to the strongest "turtlebeach" signal and open your
browser. You need to open the browser to login.
Login: turtle
Password: Will be issued at check in, or please see Guest Services.
The browser will ask you to input your username and password. The system will recognise your laptop throughout the duration of the session.
However, every time you reconnect you will need to use your username and password above.
Troubleshooting Help: Please disable any firewalls as some will interfere and you are already protected behind our firewall.
• With wireless make sure you are connected to a resort wireless connection “turtlebeach” in your wireless networks utility, by clicking on
WIFI network and clicking connect. Also check that you are connected to the strongest signal strength.
• If you have connection on the task bar but no welcome page when opening the browser, you can check if you are getting an IP by opening
a command prompt and typing ‘ipconfig’. If you can see an IP of 10.200.xxx.xxx then you are connected.
• If you have connection on the taskbar but the login screen doesn’t open up, try opening a web browser and going to turtlebeach.com.au
this should force the log in page to open.
• If a different IP is shown then just right click local area connection in task bar, go to open network connections, right click the connection,
scroll to properties, go to internet protocol, click the properties button and make sure you have ‘obtain an IP address automatically’ and
‘obtain a DNS server automatically’ ticked. Also click the advanced button on this page and make sure no gateway is shown in the gateway
panel on the page that pops up. Before deleting the IP addresses or gateway, we suggest you make a note of the details so you can put
them in later.
• If you are unable to get to network connections then you do not have administrator rights and need to call your own IT department, to
ensure your WLAN settings are enabled correctly.
Please note WiFi internet access may not be available in all areas of the resort.

TIPS TO GET THE MOST FROM THEME PARKS
If you are after a thrilling, meltdown-free family day at the theme park, keep these handy hints in mind and your next adventure park escape
will be a sure-fire success.
1. Try to arrive early.
If you want to make the most of the day and minimise queuing, plan to arrive a good 20 mins before the gates open. This should cut down waiting time at the entrance gates, give you early access to the most crowded rides and leave more time for activities.
2. Dress for the unexpected.
When planning a full day out, keep in mind that whether it is Summer or Winter, the weather can change unexpectedly. Comfort is premium so make sure you all wear good comfortable walking shoes. Thongs are not usually a good option as they do not offer support and can slip and cause blisters when walking all day. Take sun block, hats, sunglasses and enough layers, that can be taken off when warm or popped back on as the sun goes down.
3. Expect some boredom.
We all know that kids have short attention spans and get restless and easily bored when waiting for extended periods of time. Waiting in line for rides is inevitable so thinking of things to keep them entertained, perhaps their favourite toy, an ongoing game to play or even a healthy snack to bide the time away. Talk to them before you go so they know what to expect, then encourage, and reward good behaviour at the end of the day.
4. Change of clothes.
Depending on the park you go to, some rides will have water splashes and you could end up soaking wet. Sometimes a change of clothes is a great option on a cooler day.
5. Book ahead.
Some parks have options of “fast passes” or similar. If there are certain rides that you don’t want to miss or you want to skip some of the wait times, this is a great option. Booking in advance can save time and hassle and is one less thing you need to worry about.
6. Plan, plan, plan.
Sometimes there is just not enough time in the day to see and do everything, so plan ahead. Look at the map of the park, specific rides and show times. Let everyone in the family select their top 2 or 3 attractions and plan to fit these into your day. Anything extra then becomes a bonus and at the end of the day everyone has smiles.
7. Pack extra essentials.
No one wants to be a pack horse, but being a parent often calls for emergency supplies. Band aids, safety pins, extra nappies, a lightweight towel, a collapsible umbrella, spare batteries. Consider what you need and pack efficiently.
8. Emergency awareness.
Anything can happen in the blink of an eye, despite avid supervision. Select a meeting spot in the event of separation, write mobile numbers down on piece of masking tape and fix to the inside of a little ones shirt or consider wrist bands with similar information. Chat to smaller children about who to approach for help if lost and make sure older children or teenagers have a mobile phone with them in the case of separation.
9. Keep tummies happy.
Food stalls in the parks can be hectic and time consuming, and let’s be honest, can sometimes break the budget. Check the park information first regarding what types of foods you can bring; the majority will request “no pre-package/commercial food”. Then decide what to pack – healthy snacks, sandwiches, fruit, water and poppers are usually all acceptable.
10. Charge your phone.
There is nothing worse than a low phone charge mid-way through the day. Make sure all your devices are fully charged and ready to go, not just for communication but also for those endless happy snaps and selfies. You may even like to consider a zip lock back to pop your phone into, in case of water splashes that will inevitably occur. Many of these items are available at our Fresh & Tasty Convenience Store.
