Resign is a methodology o job ounded in 2007 by AndreaMagnani and Giovanni Delvecchio or all the designers whobelieves in magic and symbolic value o things.

Such methodology is mainly based on: 1) Channelling wide-spread creativity into meaning paths that can be easily shared.2) Te importance, in a sense o identity and symbolic capital,o the existence o a network ull o relations. 3) Te necessityo review the design methods looking towards sustainability.

Te heart o the methodology is in the Lab. A space whereexperimenting the Bottega 2.0 model based on the work ocondivision o knowledge, on cramanship and on the creationo rm relations. In this place the resigners have the possibil-ity to make products and projects rom a selection o recoveredmaterials. Working with dierent materials allows to re-discov-er the value o things combining them in new objects with ahigh intellectual and symbolic value. So, the results are seminalor magic objects or just a new way to thinking about design.

In concrete Resign is composed by a Lab and a Network o rela-tions, based on the strategic importance o skills complemen-tarity. Te Network provides the Lab with inputs, in terms olearning, human and material resources, necessary to under-take the ollowing activities/services:

Tere are no signed works in the ordinary sense or agreementthat works produced by anonymous authors. Te society recog-nizes that the surname o the author is ofen unknown, it doesnot know what social subject has produced the work. But sucha work exists only in extent that it is signed, to the extent thatsomeone says that there is work. Tere is a signature - we dontknow the name o the person who produced it - but the work itselis the attestation o a signature. But it is the attestation o a signa-ture only i people come and say we have something interesting.

    Jacques Derrida

Te reality curator proposes a Copernican revolution in theworld o contemporary art byremoving the artist. Tis propo-sition redened art as a orm o value that born in any placeand in complete autonomy. From these considerations we cansee how the whole entire universe is open in a huge museumwhere you can nd a lot o anonymous works. It then makes astrong change o perspective applied to all reality.

Free objects are a practice through which an object, on whichan Oggetto libero sticker is applied, gets liberated rom prop-erty. Te process is in 6 steps:

    1) Finding the material to work on

Look in drawers, basements, ecc., or objects that youneed not.

    2) Property cancellation

Apply the Oggetto Libero sticker so to ree the objectrom individual property.

    3) Market immission

Install the ree object in a desired angle o your city, ordonate it to a riend, maybe using existing platormssuch as www.reecycle.org

    4) Discovery or gif

Once ound a ree object, anyone could do with it as

preered, as long as they do not exercise property.

    5) Re-elaboration

Once ound or accepted as a gi, the object has to bemodied in some way. Tis way it will show a a mes-sage or simply a sign o its lie.

    6) Re-immission

Once modied its lie continues by repeating the op-eration rom point 3. I someone sees a ree object hehas the right to take it away to use it in any way.
